Great live music can completely change the atmosphere of an event.
Whether you’re planning a corporate reception, awards evening, private party, anniversary, birthday or special celebration, I can provide live acoustic music that works around the mood of the occasion.
The performance can be kept relaxed and understated when you want music to sit comfortably in the background, or built into something much fuller and more upbeat when you want the music to become part of the event.

Corporate Events
I provide live music for corporate events, drinks receptions, networking events, dinners, launches and celebrations.
For arrival drinks or networking, I can keep things warm, relaxed and unobtrusive, creating atmosphere without getting in the way of conversation.
Later in the event, the sound can become much more energetic, using acoustic guitar and vocals alongside foot percussion, harmonica, vocal harmonies and bass-style accompaniment to create something considerably fuller than a traditional solo acoustic performance.
Because I perform solo, the setup is also compact, flexible and easy to accommodate in venues where a full band may not be practical.
Private Parties & Celebrations
I also perform at birthdays, anniversaries, engagement parties and other private celebrations.
The music can be shaped around the kind of event you’re planning, whether that means a relaxed acoustic soundtrack while guests arrive and mingle or a more upbeat live set later in the evening.
My repertoire covers a broad range of classic and modern songs across pop, rock, indie, folk, soul and Americana, all performed in my own acoustic style.
If there are particular songs or artists you love, let me know and I can use that as a starting point when putting the music together.
A Solo Performer with a Full Sound
Although the core of the performance is live vocals and acoustic guitar, I use a number of additional elements to build the sound where appropriate.
These can include foot percussion, harmonica, vocal harmonies and bass-style accompaniment created from the lower strings of the guitar.
That means the performance can move naturally from stripped-back and intimate to something much more rhythmic and energetic, while still keeping the immediacy and character of a solo live performance.
I don’t try to imitate a full band. The aim is simply to create a bigger, richer sound when the moment calls for it.
Flexible Sound & Setup
I have several different PA systems available, allowing me to adapt the setup to the venue and the type of event.
This includes a compact battery-powered system for outdoor or smaller spaces, a medium-sized PA for receptions and more intimate events, and a larger sound and lighting setup for evening performances and bigger rooms.
If your event takes place across more than one space, the different systems can also make it easier to move the music from one part of the venue to another without lengthy changeovers.
Background Music Between Sets
For events where I’m performing several live sets, I can also play background playlists through my PA between performances.
This helps maintain the atmosphere while I take a break and means there doesn’t have to be a sudden gap in the music.
This isn’t a DJ service, but it works particularly well for drinks receptions, dinners and private parties where you’d like continuous background music throughout the booking.
Speeches & Announcements
Where appropriate, I can also provide a wireless microphone through my PA for speeches, presentations or announcements.
This can be especially useful for corporate events or private celebrations where amplified speech is needed but hiring a separate sound system would be unnecessary.
Professional & Venue-Ready
I have over 20 years’ experience performing live at venues, theatres, festivals and private events, and in 2021 I reached the semi-finals of ITV’s The Voice and have played major events such as the main stage of the National Film Awards.
I’m also a member of the Musicians’ Union and carry £10 million Public Liability Insurance. PAT documentation for my electrical equipment can be provided to venues where required.
I’m happy to liaise directly with event organisers, venues or production teams regarding access, setup, timings, sound restrictions and technical requirements.
Performance Timings
Every event is different, so I don’t work with rigid packages.
Typical live performance formats might include:
1 x 60 minutes
Ideal for a drinks reception, networking event or shorter private celebration.
2 x 45 minutes
A popular option for receptions, dinners and evening events, with background music available between sets.
3 x 45 minutes
Well suited to longer events where you’d like live music to develop over several hours.
If you’re not sure what would work best, I can recommend a format based on your timings, venue and the atmosphere you’d like to create.
Pricing
Pricing depends on the length of the booking, location, timings, equipment required and any special song requests.
Once I know a little more about your event, I can provide a clear quote based around exactly what you need.
Enquire
If you’re planning a corporate event, private party or special celebration, get in touch with the date, venue and an idea of the type of atmosphere you’re looking for.
From there, I can recommend the most suitable setup and performance format.
